Helping Hands is an annual fundraiser with a three-fold benefit: First, we encourage and foster the development of a servant's heart in the lives of the students at Seffner Christian Academy. Next, we raise significant funds that benefit our student's academic experience. Finally, SCA students allow the Lord to use them as an encouragement and testimony in our community.
Much like a Walk-a-Thon,students are sponsored to complete a service proejct for our community. Here are some examples of a Helping Hands Project: *Design art projects for senior citizens *Visit an assisted living facility *Help a community outreach program *Send cards to our troops *Volunteer at a childrens' home Our desire as a school is to foster an attitude of servanthood, and our annual Helping Hands fundraiser is an effective way to achieve this goal. Partnering with us through Helping Hands promotes Christian leadership values in our students, enhances our positive reputation with the community, and helps raise funds to improve our campus. |
